The Itinerary

Day 1 – 2: Arrival & Panorama Route (2 Nights)

Arriving at Kruger Mpumalanga international airport guests will collect their pre-booked hire car and proceed to travel for approximately 15 mins to the White River area. Guests are encouraged to relax and unwind after checking in. Transfer services are also available for the guests that would prefer not to self-drive.

Day 2 brings the opportunity to explore the breathtaking Panorama route either via privately guided tour or self-drive. Guided tour guests will be transferred from and to their chosen accommodation. The spectacular Panorama Route is a journey offering dramatic mountain scenery, where sweeping viewpoints, waterfalls and rugged landscapes create unforgettable moments around every corner. Must-see highlights include the awe-inspiring Blyde River Canyon, the striking rock formations of the Three Rondavels, and the panoramic views from God’s Window. Other essential stops include Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where centuries of swirling water have sculpted fascinating rock formations, and the beautiful Lisbon and Berlin Falls. This unforgettable journey does require a full day.

After experiencing the beautiful Panorama Route, enjoying a hearty breakfast and strong coffee has touched that part of your soul guests will depart White River and travel for +- 170kms (3 hours) to the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Upon arrival guests will be met by their friendly lodge staff at their chosen pre-booked lodge. Transfer services are also available for the guests that would prefer not to self-drive.

Klaserie Private Nature Reserve offers an authentic African safari experience with exceptional Big Five viewing in a pristine wilderness setting. After two nights of pure nature bliss guests will make their way to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport (+- 30 mins drive) for their scheduled flight to Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Arriving at King Shaka International Airport guests will collect their pre-booked hire car and take a short 20 min drive to the beautiful coastline of Ballito.

Ballito is located along KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin Coast. Offering an excellent selection of accommodation, from stylish beachfront hotels and family-friendly resorts to boutique guesthouses, self-catering apartments and luxury villas. Spend your days relaxing on Willard Beach, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean or exploring the coastline, while nearby attractions include Thompson’s Bay, the Ballito Boardwalk. For the adventure seekers, guests can enjoy surfing, deep-sea fishing, ocean activities and seasonal dolphin and whale sightings.

Guests will make their way to the small town of St Lucia located approximately 2 hours & 30 mins drive from Ballito. St. Lucia is a stunning coastal village inside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park UNESCO World Heritage Site. While in St Lucia guests will have the opportunity to take part in many different experiences such as:

• Estuary Boat Cruises - Sail on Lake St. Lucia to see hundreds of hippos and Nile crocodiles up close

• Guided Night Drives - Explore the reserve after dark to spot leopards, chameleons, porcupines, and bushbabies.

• Snorkelling at Cape Vidal - Drive through the park to a sheltered bay ideal for snorkelling, rock-pool exploring, and beach picnics.

• Turtle Tours (Seasonal) - Witness nesting loggerhead and leatherback turtles on evening beach excursions from November to March.

• Beach & Game Horseback Riding - Trot along the estuary and sand, then ride through reserve bush alongside zebras and rhinos.

• Zulu Cultural Village - Visit local communities to experience traditional dancing, food, and storytelling.

Following what is sure to be a jam packed stay I St Lucia guests will make a 1 hour 30 mins journey to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park.

One of KwaZulu-Natal’s most iconic wildlife destinations, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park offers an exceptional safari experience across a diverse landscape of rolling hills, savannah and indigenous bushveld. The park is renowned for its white and black rhino, while regular sightings of elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo make it a fantastic Big Five destination. Its diverse habitats also support giraffe, cheetah, wild dog, zebra, wildebeest, hippo and a remarkable variety of birdlife. With fewer crowds than many of South Africa’s larger safari destinations, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi provides an intimate and rewarding wildlife experience for nature and safari enthusiasts. Following your morning game drive and breakfast guests will depart the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi park and make their way to King Shaka International Airport (3 hours’ drive) for their scheduled flight back home. While we are sure you will be very sad to leave, we are confident that a lifetime of memories will have been made and the beauty of the Panorama and Zululand will stay with you until your next visit.
